BEFORE YOU, THE STONE LAYS BARE. However, if you were to look closely, you would begin to see the words beginning to etch themselves on the top of the stone. As morsels of stone fall from its pristine face to reveal a simple command:[break]

Flowers begin to visibly grow around the rock, curling gently like affectionate bracelets. They curve toward the rock face like arrows.

Near the base of Josh's GRACIDEA GARDEN was a small slab, green words etching themselves into the top. This wasn't there before, was it? The Gym Leader slid off his Zeraora's back to take a closer look at the message that was seemingly writing itself. Once the message was complete, the sharp piece of stone etching them fell on its side, as if beckoning Josh to respond to it:

"TO WHOM ARE YOU THANKFUL?"

"There's only one answer to that question," Josh said to himself, and to Raikiri. He cuddled the Zeraora's face before kneeling to etch the only name worthy of being etched into the annals of eternity that would be the stone within the off-road garden. It would be the name of the person that put him on the right track to meeting the Beast of his dreams. The one that let him sit in the Beast's thundercloud saddle not once, but twice. The one that gave him an opportunity to fight from the Beast's back and make a difference in saving Galar. And now, the one subtly guiding him to the path of Champion.

THE STONE ACCEPTS YOUR NAME(S). Suddenly, the wind billows around you, carrying with it, the softest spring scent. Petals are cradled in these gossamer gales. Colors swirl around, the displaced flowers like gentle jewels painted by nature's own brush.[break]

The GRACIDEA FLOWER is uprooted. Gently. It beckons for you to take it carefully within your hands. As soon as you do, a path of flowers erupts from the stone's northern face. It extends far and into the air. A magical bridge connects Hoenn to a fantastical place hidden by the power of canonized gratitude.

Follow the bridge. Quickly, before it disappears underneath your feet.

Raikiri carefully walked toward the GRACIDEA GARDEN Josh had carefully cultivated, taking the blooming flower into his paw and handing it to his rider. Just as he touched it, a bridge of flowers rose into the air, the source of its power the gratitude the Gym Leader had for the Champion. Without him, he wouldn't have been the Gym Leader he was now. He wouldn't have been the Champion candidate he was now. And perhaps most importantly, he wouldn't have been able to live his dream of sitting in Raikou's thundercloud saddle and going faster than any other Pokémon on land.

Speaking of going fast, that bridge was vanishing quickly. As the flowers behind him turned varying shades of white and red, it was evident that a casual run on Raikiri wasn't going to be fast enough to keep up with the flowery path. It reminded Josh of his Gym Challenge with Laurence Anderson , where the phantoms of Mount Pyre drew the course his Zeraora raced as they were running on it. It was beckoning him to demonstrate his affinity for speed. Speed that Kyle had prepared Josh for when he took a seat on Raikou, both on his birthday and in the realm of Galar.

"Raikiri, AGILITY!" Electricity flew from all four of the Zeraora's paws as the thundercat carried Josh at surreal speed. He wondered at what point he might need to slow down from going too fast...

GRACIDEA QUEST

GRATITUDE AMONG FLOWERS

YOU FOLLOW THE FLORAL BRIDGE. With every step, the flowers spring out beneath you taking root in nothing but air. However, the garden trail behind you disappears. Flowers fade into green bokeh— perhaps, the residue of some fantastical grass-type energy. By the end of this seemingly endless trail, you find yourself seemingly high above the clouds. And in a secluded airborne island.

In its center, the island's field is filled with GRACIDEA FLOWERS, but there are stretches of dirt that are devoid of any plant. Any root. However, a couple shapes shift through the flowery abode.

SEARCH FOR SHAYMIN:

Whatever they are, you are compelled to find them with your own GRACIDEA FLOWER in hand.

write a post that has your trainer's pokemon using ODOUR SLEUTH or SWEET SCENT to find the hidden Shaymin. You must also find the Shaymin in the image above. Once you have found it, please DM or PM shiv on Discord or the Site with the location of the Shaymin.

Josh followed the green trail at such high speed that he hadn't realized just how far he and Raikiri were above the ground. At the end of the trail was a floating island masked by constant cloud cover. Above them, thin air that would chill them to the bone if they ascended much farther. It was cold, but not unbearably so; the floating garden felt like, and smelled, like, an early Spring morning. Not bitterly cold, but perhaps somewhat uncomfortably so. In the center of the island was an entire garden filled with GRACIDEA FLOWERS like the one he had grown on the surface. Thousands of feet into the sky, the rare flower was plentiful here.

Josh thought he had heard some rustling from within the grove. His Zeraora steed circled the edge, but could not pick up anything out of the ordinary. Perhaps whatever was down there was hiding from the mythical thundercat? Wracking his brain, he could only come up with one idea to draw whatever it was out of hiding. Reaching for a Poké Ball, the Gym Leader swapped ride Pokémon to the Meganium that jumped out, Medli's long reins loosely dangling from her halters. "Medli, SWEET SCENT!" Josh commanded.

The aroma wafted over the floating island, strong as an exquisite perfume, and calming to boot. It was so strong and so relaxing that the Gym Leader found himself yawning from how much it had calmed him down. It had even put his Zeraora into such a docile state that the electric-type curled up and laid next to the edge of the island, taking in the magical view.

GRATITUDE AMONG FLOWERS

AS YOU SEEK THE SHAPES HIDDEN IN THE FLOWERS, the burgeoning plot is adorned with more color. More life. The floral bridge has communicated and conveyed your own gratitude into this field... Lured out or discovered, a Shaymin faces you in gratitude for your visit— and in contest.

It has green grass-like fur bristles. The flowers on its body open more wide, revealing their deepest colors. You gain the sense that the Shaymin would like to battle you to see if you are worthy of its companionship. However, there is a caveat outlined by the other hedgehogs.

You must not damage the flowers. You must fight with grace and care— but this does not mean the Shaymin is an easy fight. Crying out, it fires a potent SEED FLARE at you, a shockwave of energy bursting from its small body and stopping right before the gracidea.

BATTLE SHAYMIN:

CAREFUL OF THE FLOWERS!

WITH EVERY POST, make a ROLL. You must hit or surpass a total of 100 to successfully battle the Shaymin without damaging the flowers. Afterward, you will be allowed to capture it!

You are allowed to DOUBLE POST until the total is met.

Lured out by the SWEET SCENT, the source of the GRACIDEA scent beckoned the Gym Leader to battle. The SEED FLARE hurled Josh from Medli's saddle, the grass-type energy leaving his arms and face red with a painful sunburn. Her trainer blinded by the grass-type attack's light, she was on her own. Ravaging the island with an EARTHQUAKE, a green column of light rose to defend the GRACIDEA GARDEN from being uprooted, also stopping short of the Shaymin. While she was recoiling, the Shaymin shined with a brilliant DAZZLING GLEAM that felled the Leader's mount in a single blow.

With ranged attacks ineffective, Josh had to bring out the big guns. Keeping his distance from the garden, he hurled Raikiri's Poké Ball toward the narrow strip of land between halves of the cultivated ground. In its element, the Shaymin was unbelievably quick, SEED FLARE colliding with FIRE PUNCH. Though both sides suffered heavy blows, the raw power behind the grass-type's unique attack hurled Raikiri all the way to the end of the strip of land marking its territory.

Seeing another SEED FLARE coming, Raikiri lunged toward the grass-type demigod with a QUICK ATTACK. The lightning speed of the blow knocked the Shaymin off balance, but not enough to completely interrupt the explosion of sunlight. Even his fastest Pokémon had fallen. Though the Shaymin was far too small to use as a mount, the Gym Leader might have been forced to make an exception. This kind of power was remarkable, and would serve him well in the war against Team Rocket.

Down to his final Pokémon, Josh pitched Saber's Poké Ball toward the narrow battleground, the few seconds of respite letting it SYNTHESIZE the sun's intensified rays due to their high altitude. Not wanting to give it another chance to raze his closest Pokémon with that vicious grass-type attack, the Mauville Leader ordered his electric partner to freeze the battle-happy foe with his ICE FANG.

The nimble Shaymin side-hopped into the garden and back, the ICE FANG's mist harmlessly falling onto its green and pink flowers. Its entire back glowed brightly with searing sunlight - the precursor to a SEED FLARE. The Gym Leader's back to the wall, he had to go all-out. Though he was worried that the force of his Z-Move could knock the grass-type off the island entirely, the poor Pokémon falling hundreds, if not thousands of feet to its death. What choice did he have, though! That special attack the Shaymin used was extraordinarily powerful, having taken down his ace combatant with little effort. Running around the island's perimeter to the back side, he stood at an angle to the narrow strip of land serving as the battleground. He took Saber's Poké Ball in one hand, ready to withdraw the Manectric if it overshot. "HYPERSONIC..."

Striking his Z-Pose was awkward without sitting on his Pokémon's back, the motions causing Josh to nearly stumble and wind up on his rump. The SEED FLARE flew from the Shaymin's back toward Saber. It was now or never.

"...PLASMA CHARGE!!!"



With a deafening sonic boom, the Manectric's legs disappeared into lightning bolts, ramming and trampling the small Pokémon faster than even many legendary Pokémon could react. There were only three Josh knew of that could, and two of the three were nowhere to be found, far as he was aware. Z-Move clashed with SEED FLARE in a violent peal of electric and solar energy that was too bright for the Gym Leader to look at.

DESPITE THE FEROCITY OF YOUR BATTLE, the Gracidea remain intact. The flowers swing gently in the aftermath's breeze like waving spectators. Before you, the Shaymin brushes off the debris of your contest with little shakes. Its own flowers remain vibrant and open— symbolic of its acceptance of the bonds shared between you and your Pokemon.

Behind you, the floral bridge begins to reform in the air. It spirals toward the earth like a spring wedding's garland, carrying with it the scent of fresh blooms. The petals seemingly face you, beckoning for you to return.

Similarly, the Shaymin awaits its capsule. Whether you decide to capture it here or on the ground is your choice.

CONGRATULATIONS!:

YOU DEFEATED LAND FORME SHAYMIN!

THE LAND FORME SHAYMIN is now able to be caught with one of your pokeballs. you may decide their moveset like a gachapon pokemon (e.g. 6 learnset moves) and add them to your PCs.

These Shaymin can not shift into its Sky Forme, unless it comes into contact with the move, SPRINGTIDE STORM, or if you have earned a GRACIDEA FLOWER item reward.

The SEED FLARE was too much for Saber to handle. What incredible power this mysterious Pokémon had. While it was too small for Josh to ride on, the grass-type would make for a potent partner to remain perched on the end of his mount's saddle. With an attack that powerful, what could stop them? Perhaps even Cillian Quinn would be quaking in his boots with a Pokémon so powerful in his arsenal. There was just one problem.

With no Pokémon that could fight alongside him, he was walking all the way down to the surface. He held the Shaymin in his arms before sitting down and sliding down the spiraling floral bridge back to Hoenn's surface. Once he got back to his Gym, he would be putting the rare grass-type in a very special Poké Ball: a green one with a Gracidea flower emblem on it.
